Laraque Makes History
"Laraque is the first NHL player to host the show and just the sixth guest host in OTR’s 11-year run of nearly 2,600 episodes. Tonight’s show marks only the 15th time Landsberg has not been in the host’s chair. Over the years, TSN personalities James Duthie, Jennifer Hedger and Jay Onrait have hosted, as well as Toronto Argonauts CEO Mike ‘Pinball’ Clemons and former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho."

ABOUT ME
-
Hi I'm Jeremiah and I am a Moderator at http://www.pensunderground.com/ I am a Pittsburgh Penguins Season Ticket Holder and I sit in Section D at the Igloo. I've loved the Pens my entire life. I went to my first game when I was about 5 years old. At my first game the Pens played the Detroit Red Wings we beat the Red Wings 4-2 and it was the greatest moment of my life. I've been hooked to hockey ever since my first game and I love the game immensly.

My favorite Penguins were Matthew Barnaby, Jaromir Jagr, Mario Lemieux, and Darius Kasparaitis. I've always enjoyed watching hard, tough hockey. The Fighting, the Scoring, the Hitting, the Passion, the Skating, the Saves and the Atmosphere make the sport exhilarating. Currently, I am a huge Mark Eaton and Jarkko Ruutu fan. I like Mark Eaton due to his shot-blocking, he isn't afraid to get injured and I like players who don't mind getting hurt inorder to help their team win. I also like Jarkko Ruutu. Ruuts is a tremendous player who loves to cause havoc. He's a great fighter and he lays down big hits which brings the crowd to its feet.

As you can see, Jeremiah brought his A game to this blog. We welcome him here. He is a very good writer, and a very good fan.
And you have to chuckle at that video.
@jeremiah: Darius Kasparaitis ... I think I like you ...

Life doesn't make sense anymore.
@BigK: I am going to be the voice of reason for you today ...
Let's try to think of Roberts outside his cult hero status, okay?
He's 42 years old ... healthy at that right now but he has had some issues with his back. He played 38 games this season with 3 goals and 12 assists. He is making $2.5 million as a 3rd/4th line winger. We can distribute some of his money to other players like Ruutu. It'll be fine ... I think he just wants to be close to his family in his final years in the NHL. Besides he has given great memories to the fans of Pittsburgh, we can thank him and remember him as a member of the Pens. It'll be okay. Roberts was a great character guy, but we have other character players on the team, especially since they are so tight-knit. Everything's going to be fine as long as we think positive. We have 2 of the greatest players in the world on our team, Crosby and Malone ... okay, I was joking there ... come on lighten up ... Crosby and Malkin are 2 of the best players in the world. They have substance, creativity, talent, and character themselves. The Pens organization will be fine without Roberts. It won't be that long when the season starts, our team is together, and they are playing with the same intensity.
