Camp Opens Up

Today was the first day of Pens training camp.

Jordan Staal, Alex Goligoski, and Miro Satan shined in the scrimmage.

The offensive line combos were as follows, according to Jesse Marshall of Faceoff Factor.

Dupuis-Crosby-Satan
Staal-Malkin-Sykora
Fedotenko-Talbot-Cooke
Pesonen-Taffe-Kennedy
Stone-Beech Godard

Jesse also says that prospect Danny Richmond "blew him away today", and that Ian at Hockey's Future says Richmond is a "logical choice" to make the team. This from the Pensblog.

It's an exciting time, and more will develop as camp rolls along.

Sartori, I'm the one always complaining about AP English *laughs*

I can't wait! I'm so nervous to see Bugsy, Roberts, and Hall ... really want to see Pesonen and Satan ... Satan and Sid on a line! *drools*

I am also really excited for those 3. Pesonen is new, and I want to get an idea of the kind of player he is. As for Crosby and Satan, this will be a full year for Sid with a 300 goal scorer who's a great shooter and solid two-way player. A big improvement over Colby Armstrong and Nils Ekman, that's for sure.

Eww, you brought up Ekman ... I have been trying to push that bad memory of my mind, you brought it back *laughs*

Apparently Peso has been average which is okay with me. He's new to the area/country, and he needs to adapt to the different and more difficult NHL game play. He should be good to go.
