OHL Storm sign first round pick McNaughton

The Guelph Storm, a junior hockey club out of Guelph, Ontario, has announced that it has signed its first round pick in this year's OHL Entry Draft, Cody McNaughton. He joins the long line of very skilled Guelph players that in recent years has included high-profile names such as Drew Doughty, Dustin Brown, and Todd Bertuzzi.

McNaughton is five feet, nine inches tall, and only 165 pounds in weight, but he makes up for his relatively staggering lack of size with good vision and breakneck speeds unrivaled by any players in his OHL draft class. He has spent the last few years of his career playing with the the Toronto Jr. Canadiens in the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League, a league that is one step below the OHL, WHL, and QMJHL. McNaughton is expected to have an impact for the Storm in his rookie season, coming up in only a few short months.
