Game 46- Anaheim Ducks @ Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins are wallowing in the depths of Hell right now, and in order to get out, they'll have to start winning, and fast. The (Mighty) Ducks of Anaheim will be in town at 7:38 for a tilt with the Pens. I will be at the game, and Erika has obligations, so the recap will come late, perhaps even on Saturday.

The Ducks have rebounded from a fairly sluggish start and bolted into contention in the Western Conference. Rookie power forward Bobby Ryan has emerged, while Ryan Getzlaf leads the conference in scoring. Corry Perry, Chris Kunitz, and the great Teemu Selanne provide firepower form the wings. Selanne, however, is injured and won't suit up.

Chris Pronger and Rob Niedermayer as good a 1-2 punch on defense as you could find.

Sidney Crosby is questionable for this game after sustaining a "lower body injury" against the Capitals during a collision along the boards. Max Talbot, Kris Letang, and Rob Scuderi's statuses are also unknown.

The Penguins haven't been getting good goaltending lately, and Marc-Andre Fleury, Dany Sabourin, or whoever will be in net needs to raise his game and pick up the guys in front of him.

Janne Pesonen has been recalled from Wilkes Barre/Scranton.

Lines are subject to change.
