Flyers make it a new series

The Penguins will have a tough road ahead of them if they want to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Despite a fairly solid all-around effort, a few defensive lapses and stupid penalties allowed a desperate Flyers team to light up the scoreboard and cut the 2-0 series lead in half.

The Flyers got an early lead on two first period goals, but Evgeni Malkin got the Pens back into it with seconds left in the opening frame. After Rob Scuderi tied the game from the point seconds into the second period, the Penguins fell apart and were beaten fairly soundly.

Chris Kunitz had a monsterous hit on Kimmo Timonen.

This series is far from over, but remember, the Penguins still hold a 2-1 advantage.
